Production Assistant Placement

ABOUT US:

We create a range of short promotional videos for companies, including covering events, interviews, animation and more. We also make short films and documentaries. We’re looking for a production assistant to join our team and get stuck in with the production process, and also to learn more about working in media.

This vacancy is funded by the government Kickstart programme. You need to be aged 16-24 and currently claiming Universal Credit to apply.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
‍‍

Assisting on set as a runner
Researching and brainstorming ideas for video content
Logistical tasks such as booking equipment and liaising with crew
Administrative tasks, such as responding to email enquiries and data entry
Transcribing footage and assisting with editing

You don’t need to have any prior experience, just an interest in working in media, and a great attitude. You need to be comfortable with using a laptop to complete tasks such as responding to emails, and using Microsoft Office.

Pitch your own film / video projects that you'd like to develop under our guidance
Attend regular sessions at CRATE in Walthamstow to work on your CV and employability skills
Attend industry specific training in areas such as video editing, camera operating, graphic design, producing and animation depending on your interests
Develop a portfolio / showreel whilst working with us to assist you in securing work in future

Animating logos / text
Assisting with animating content for clients
Sourcing images / references
Designing content for website / social media
Researching and brainstorming ideas for video content
Administrative tasks, such as responding to email enquiries and data entry
Assisting on set as a runner

You don’t need any qualifications, just an interest in animation and working in media. You may have learnt animation at college / uni or you might be self taught through YouTube. As long as you have been experimenting with animation software in some way (e.g. After Effects, Blender) and have a great attitude.

We primarily work in 2D animation but if you’ve been exploring with Stop Motion / 3D or any other style, we’d still love to hear from you.

You also need to be comfortable with using a laptop to complete tasks such as responding to emails and using Microsoft Office.
